Paige Jamieson, MA, RCT
Paige works from a person-centered, trauma informed framework. She believes each person is individual and unique, and their treatment plan should be tailored to them. She works with her clients to understand their symptoms, and what is best for them. Paige believes therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach. She prides herself in getting to know and understand her clients, while working with them to create a treatment plan and approach that works best for them.
Paige has a background in working with first responders and veterans who have been diagnosed with PTSD. Paige specializes in trauma work, and helping her clients heal from their trauma. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) modalities for trauma processing, and Critical Incident Debriefs for traumatic events. She pulls from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic frameworks of understanding and coping with trauma symptoms.
Paige holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a major in psychology, from Cape Breton University. She completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. She is registered and licenced with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT).
